Hiii gals! Happy Friday! Last week I tried the Cocoa Brown tan for the first time. I know, I know it’s been on the market for soooo long and I can’t believe I haven’t tried it yet. I actually follow the creator and CEO of Cocoa Brown, Marissa Carter, on Snapchat and she seems so lovely. I always see her posting pictures of her products and think they look fab. Cocoa Brown also do make-up brushes and liquid highlighters and different types of tanning products and I plan on trying them all! First off though, I picked up their 1 Hour Tanning Mousse in Primark and tried it for the first time last week. I wanted to try it out and see what it was like to remove before I gave it a proper review. So let’s get started!

The tan is as it says on the bottle, is a 1 hour tan which is great for if you are ever in a rush with last minute plans or even if you have time before bed it means you can apply it and wash it off after 1, 2 or 3 hours without messing your sheets. Or of course you can leave it on for longer depending on how dark you want to be, (I left mine on overnight)! It also says on the bottle that it continues to develop even after you rinse it off. The colour initially was lovely and I love when mousses or tanning gels are tinted or coloured because it’s so much easier to apply. I always just apply my tan with a Velvotan mitt which you can get from Superdrug, Tesco, Semi-Chem etc. for around £2.

The tan goes on so nicely and the colour is beautiful. It is easy to use in the mousse form and doesn’t have a strong overpowering fake tan smell which is always a bonus. I actually feel like there is  maybe just the slightest hint of a coffee smell which is gorgeous. One thing I noticed about this tan compared to other tans I’ve tried recently is how quickly it dries. It doesn’t feel sticky at all so you can put your clothes or pjs on almost straight away – I’d leave it about five to ten minutes before getting dressed though with any tanning product. As I said before I left it on overnight and it was a gorgeous colour when I rinsed it off. To be honest it was the perfect colour for me and not orange at all. Here is a before and after –

In terms of wearability, the tan lasted all week from Wednesday to Thursday! By Thursday it was obviously fading a lot but it lasted really well without going too scaly or dry in areas. As I said before, I wanted to make sure to see what it was like to remove to include that in this review. Gals, I have to to tell you – this tan was hands down the easiest tan to remove that I have ever ever tried. Ever. It literally melted off with my Tan Eraser (which you all know I am obsessed with) and normally I use an exfoliating product or scrub along with the Tan Eraser mitt but I didn’t have to use a scrub at all! I just swiped the Tan Eraser gently over my skin and the tan just melted away, it was so so easy. Tan that is easy to remove is a really important factor for me because I do a tan every week so it’s helpful when a tan can be removed without fuss and having to scrub ten layers of your skin off!

Last week I went out after I used the Cocoa Brown tan, so here is a picture of the tan after it was rinsed and developed. As you can see it is a lovely deep, brown colour and looks fab.

So there we have it girlies, I have definitely found another fave tan in Cocoa Brown and I can’t wait to try more of their products! I picked up my bottle of the 1 Hour Tan in Primark for £6. I should mention this post is of course not an Ad or sponsored in any way. As you all know I just love sharing my beauty finds and faves with you all.
