Hey girlies! I hope you are all doing well. Today’s post is just going to be a catch up with me and a wee chit chat really! Next week, I plan on doing a review on Cocoa Brown tan which I tried out for the first time on Wednesday night (if any of you follow me on Snapchat you will already know this!). I was going to do the review today but I want to see how well the tan comes off so I can review it properly for you gals!
Anyway, how is everyone? Yesterday where I live we had a crazy storm which included major gale force winds and a ton of snow. I was supposed to be going to an important meeting which got cancelled and rescheduled because almost every road where I live was closed or gridlocked due to the horrendous weather conditions. It was so unsafe! Luckily I’m off work this week until Wednesday so I had a snow day and stayed inside. I also got my hair done today by my lovely hairdresser Shona! I’ve been wanting to dye my hair dark all over for ages after being blonde for almost 5 years now. So today I did it! I took the plunge and dyed it dark all over and I LOVE it! Here is a before and after pic..
My hair has been coming on leaps and bounds recently. Before I was getting a dark chocolate and a caramel lowlight so my hair was quite mixed and I loved it. I noticed such a difference in the condition of my hair since getting the darker brown put through it and it has grown so much in the past few months. I really want it to be super long again though like it used to be, especially with my holiday to Cape Verde coming up in the summer. So to prevent any damage I decided to go for it and dye the whole thing dark to really put extra shine and condition on it, that way it should grow longer much quicker – which happens when you stop using bleach on it.
A lot of people told me not to dye my hair dark because I’ve got blue eyes and fair skin and I generally suit being lighter however I fancied a lil change and I’m determined to keep growing it super long and healthy so the best way I know to do that is to stop using bleach full stop! I honestly love my hair and I think it’s nice to have a change once in a while.
I am going to do an updated ‘Hair Journey’ post very soon to show the progress of my hair since cutting it in 2015 and how I have nursed it back to being long and healthy like it was before. If you would like to read my first ‘Hair Journey’ post, please feel free to do so here.
So now I’m just heading out for dinner then I have a night out tomorrow with my friends – I feel like I haven’t been out in such a long time! If you want to keep up with what I’m up to and when I post, feel free to follow me on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter (my link buttons are at the bottom of the page on mobile devices or the right hand sidebar on a PC). I also post all the time on Snapchat about beauty, fashion, hauls, fitness and all that good stuff, my username is lucykennedy18. Have a lovely weekend everyone and thanks so much for reading! Lots of love until next time,
