VALENTINES DATE NIGHT LOOK – OUTFIT & MAKE-UP

Hiiii lovelies! I hope you are all doing well. So I decided to post today instead of Friday because I really wanted to do a little Valentine’s inspired look for you all. Kyle and I tend to go out on Valentine’s weekend to celebrate because if it’s during the week it’s difficult with work etc. So last night we went to Smoke Barbecue for dinner and to see Fifty Shades Darker. We love Smoke because the food and service is soooo good plus the cocktails are unreal we love them! As for the new Fifty Shades, I personally loved it and I honestly think it was a big improvement from the first one.

So last night I wanted to find something to wear with trousers because it is pretty chilly here in Glasgow! As predicted last night it was cold, windy and wet so I’m glad I didn’t go for a dress or skirt. I am obsessed with these leather, high-waisted skinny trousers from Primark. They are £12 and honestly the best. I’ve had loads of pairs of leather or coated trousers and I always feel like they go weird after a couple of washes but these don’t and I’ve worn them loads, infact I have 2 other pairs! I teamed them with this gorgeous blouse from Pretty Little Thing. The blouse comes in black and white but I went for black because it’s designed to be worn without a bra so I didn’t want anything to be ‘on display’. Although the whole blouse is meant to be draping, I wasn’t really feeling it so decided to tie it up at the front and leave the back hanging. I wore my fave thigh high suede boots from Ego Shoes and accessorised with this diamond black choker from Zara and oversized gold hoops also from Pretty Little Thing.

For hair and make-up, I had an idea in mind that because my outfit was all black everythingggg, I wanted sleek hair and dramatic smokey eyes with extra highlight to match it. If you want my full-face details please feel free to check out my Glam Night Out tutorial post for all face products and how I highlight and contour, just because all the steps and products are the same on there so I don’t want to bore you all with the same details. For my eye look last night, I used my Morphe 35OM palette. I mixed one of the burnt orange and one of the light brown shades for my transition colour in my crease and then also went under my eyes with this with a big fluffy brush. Then I did the same motions with a red/cranberry shade. After I had the colours I wanted as transition shades, I packed a dark brown shade from the palette all over the lid with a flat eyeshadow brush from Real Techniques. After all the colour was packed on (I resembled a raccoon at this point), I blended it all with a large fluffy blending brush. I say it all the time but with any look with eyeshadow the main trick is to blend it really well. Use a light hand and buff the colour with the fluffy brush in swirly motions. I also sweep the dark brown under the lower lash line to give it a real smokey look. I then did winged liner using my Supercat eyeliner pen from Soap and Glory and lined my inner water line as well with just a plain black eyeliner pencil, I think it’s from Miss Sporty. Next I used They’re Real mascara from Benefit on my upper and lower lashes, before finally applying my fave Eyelure Exaggerate no. 140 Lashes. Once everything is in place I just give everything a further quick blend with my fluffy eyeshadow brush.
