SOAP AND GLORY MAKE-UP REVIEW

Hi everyone! I hope you are all doing well. I haven’t done a wee make-up review in quite a while now so I thought it would be cool to do one on a couple of Soap and Glory products I got for Christmas! I absolutely love Soap and Glory bath and body products and literally can’t wait for Christmas morning every year just to get a barrel load of their goodies because I always do and I LOVE it! However this year, I noticed Soap and Glory have really upped their make-up game. For years I have always loved the ‘Sexy Motherpucker’ Plumping Lipglosses from Soap & Glory but I hadn’t tried anything else. This year I got a gorgeous set full of make-up goodies and I have been trying them out over the past couple of weeks so I thought I would share them with you all today. *Also this post is not sponsored by Soap and Glory and all photographs, views and opinions are my own.*

I always admire Soap & Glory’s way of staying really cool and relevant with their quirky names and packaging for their products. The make-up products I have been obsessed with since I got them is their ‘Supercat’ liquid eyeliner pen (as you all know your gal loves a winged liner), the ‘Thick & Fast’ Mascara, the ‘Glow All Out’ Luminizing Face Powder and of course their ‘Sexy Motherpucker’ Lipgloss.

So let’s start with the ‘Supercat Black Liquid Eyeliner Pen’. OMG I think I have found a new favourite! As you all know I always sport a winged liner and my normal favourite for this is the Collection 2000 Fast Stroke Liner which is more of an ink pot style liner which I still love so much. However this pen format is brilliant for when you are on the go or don’t have a steady hand. The colour is jet black and the pen is super easy to use. I would say if you aren’t confident doing winged liquid eyeliner then definitely give this product a try. It’s really easy to grip and I the pointed tip of the pen is nice and sharp so it gives you a great effect because you can make the line as thin or as thick as you like it is really versatile. If any of you are looking for a tutorial on how to get the perfect winged eyeliner then please feel free to check my blog post tutorial on it here where I give all my tips and tricks step by step!

Keeping in line with the theme of eyes here, next up is the ‘Thick and Fast’ Mascara. I am always on the lookout for good ‘daywear’ mascaras as I don’t like using high-end products like my Benefit ‘They’re Real’ mascara for day to day use. I normally stick with the Miss Sporty or Rimmel Mascaras as I feel they don’t go ‘clumpy’ but this one is just as good! It made my lashes really long, thick and black too without going clumpy or feeling ‘wet’ like some mascaras do. It also lasts all day and doesn’t crumble and fall halfway down your face throughout the day plus it isn’t stubborn to remove which is great. I have definitely found a new favourite day mascara in this one for sure!

Highlighting was a huuuuuge trend in 2016 and is set to be even BIGGER in 2017 I predict, but I have noticed a lot of beauty gurus and make-up artists have been toning their highlight down and going for a more subtle glow recently which is why I am loving the ‘Glow All Out’ Luminizing Face Powder. Again, this product is absolutely perfect for daywear and not having to use your high-end highlighters for a day look. If you are looking for a poppppin’ highlight that glows like the sun then I wouldn’t say this is the product for you. However if you are looking for a nice healthy, natural glow then this is brilliant. It has a really pearlescent type shine to it which I love and isn’t too heavy on the face at all. I also love the packaging as it comes with a nice, clear mirror inside which is always a bonus in my book for on-the-go touch ups!

Finally, as I mentioned in the beginning I have always loved the ‘Sexy Motherpucker Lipglosses’ which is one of Soap & Glory’s first ever make-up products I believe because I remember using it in high school which was over 5 years ago now! Soap & Glory now have a wide range of colours in these glosses and my two ultimate favourites are these two in ‘Rose and Shine’ and ‘Plumsup’. ‘’ is a really nice girly nude/pink shade and is perfect for a simple make-up look or even over your favourite lipstick whereas ‘Plumsup’ is more of a dark pink/plum kind of colour but looks reaaally nice with a bronzy contour and golden smokey eyes. These lipglosses are also designed to ‘plump’ your lips and give you that Kylie Jenner pout that everyone looks for these days! Normally when you first apply the gloss your lips will feel a little warm and tingly but it goes away after a few seconds.

So there we have it everyone, I honestly don’t have a bad word to say about any of these products at all they are all amazing quality, amazing packaging and great prices. They have truly become a staple in my make-up bag now.
